 as a gpsl, we'd love to focus on interaction especially across different species! we'll try to hold community-wide events at least once a month to give characters the chance to meet as well as post prompts to promote interaction.
when applying please have an ic username with no underscores, extra characters, or numbers. please also have an ic post and an ooc post up in your journal and backdated. the later should have your character information and be screened. in your bios we want to see what powers your character has. please see moon number six here in the rules for more details on that.
for activity, are currently trial running a no specified update limit. this meants we do not require a specific number of posts. we just want to see you active (with posts and/or comments) and if we do not, then you will be at risk of removal. it's as simple as that!
we accept nearly all creatures big and small as long as you can provide a wikipedia page or something similar on them. the only things we will not accept are deities/demons of the highest power, these include (but are not limited to) god, lucifer, lillith, zeus, hades, odin, and hel. we also will not allow your character to be the utmost ruler of any species. while we do allow royalty we do not allow anyone that showcases unquestioned power. royalty and arch deities/demons are allowed but must showcase restraint for acceptance. this also means no character is allowrd to control ant other character, in any capacity. we apologize if this inconveniences anyone but we believe fairness to all is of the utmost importance. if you have any questions or hesistations in regards to this, please contact us.
to get things started, we'll outline the basics for a few of the more popular species so that everyone's on the same page. as more creatures join, we'll add them to the list. this is just to make sure that all vampires, werewolves, witches and more have a basis for their abilities, weaknesses, and back story. our intent here is not at all to stifle your creativity when developing your character but merely to prevent confusion and promote equality among species.
aside from our basic guidelines you have complete authority as to what powers your character has but we do ask you to be realistic about this. when applying we would like you to provide us a bit of background on what your character can do in regards to their abilities. ideally we would like to see both strengths and weaknesses. remember not all their gifts will be maxed out after all nobody is perfect and even the most ancient of creatures still has room to grow!
since this is a supernatural community, we don't expect everyone's characters to get along but we do request that no ooc bullying or godmodding take place. that's just standard rp best practices, guys. that said we encourage characters to have rivals, enemies, and more just as long as you remember to keep things ic. if you have any issues or concerns, please reach out to us! we want to make this fun and friendly.
we anticipate a lot of fun and frivolity but because this is a supernatural community we also anticipate that darker themes might crop up too so when creating your characters please make sure they're all at least over 18. the same goes for their faces. in regards to pb we simply ask that they be able to be easily googled. we understand many characters will be immortal and as such we shall not implement the five year rule but we ask that you be respectful and logical in terms of the ages. we ask the same in regards to race, we know it can be tricky so we won't implement strict rules here but please be kind and use sound judgement when picking pbs for your character. we encourage diversity here. in terms of character limit there is currently a two character limit in place but should you wish to bring in a third you may do so after two months and with mod approval. we also request that your characters not be of the same species. should you wish to change pb, simply let us know beforehand!
